The new “All-in-One” 50 mL PFA sample vials from AHF analysentechnik allow multiple steps of sample preparation for elemental trace analysis in only one vessel. Either the sample can be dissolved “wet” chemically in a heating block (HF digestion also possible) or concentrated by evaporation. After this treatment the sample can be easily transferred to an autosampler for ICP-OES or ICP-MS.

PFA (perfluoroalkoxy-polymer) is due to its ultra pure fabrication (no addition of catalyzer and plasticizer) plus its material properties (ultra-smooth and non-adhesive surface resulting in non absorptive/desorptive interaction of the reagents with the inner surface of the vials) very common for using in ultra-trace-analysis.
